أيلة تستضيف بطولة آسيا للترايثلون تحت 23 عامًا لعام 2025
وكالة الناس – العقبة – تحت رعاية صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير فيصل بن الحسين المعظم، رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية الأردنية، وبحضور السيد أنتونيو إريماني، رئيس الاتحاد الدولي للترايثلون، تستضيف مدينة العقبة بطولة آسيا للشباب تحت 23 سنة للترايثلون، وذلك يومي الجمعة والسبت الموافقين 31 تشرين الأول و1 تشرين الثاني، في واحة أيلة – العقبة. وتأتي هذه الاستضافة ضمن التقويم السنوي المشترك للأحداث والفعاليات الذي تنظمه أيلة بالتعاون مع سلطة منطقة العقبة الاقتصادية الخاصة (ASEZA)، ليشكل إضافة نوعية للأنشطة الرياضية والسياحية في المدينة.
وتشهد البطولة، التي تقام بمشاركة أكثر من 120 لاعباً ولاعبة من مختلف الدول الآسيوية، سباقي النخبة للمحترفين الآسيويين يوم الجمعة 31 تشرين الأول، فيما يقام السباق المفتوح لجميع الفئات العمرية يوم السبت 1 تشرين الثاني، بما يتيح الفرصة أمام الهواة والمهتمين برياضة الترايثلون من مختلف الأعمار والجنسيات للمشاركة.
وجرى الإعلان عن الاستضافة عقب توقيع اتفاقية تعاون بين شركة واحة أيلة للتطوير ورابطة الترايثلون الأردنية، بحضور المهندس سهل دودين، المدير التنفيذي لشركة أيلة، والدكتور طارق الخياط، رئيس الرابطة. وأكد الطرفان أن هذه الخطوة تمثل محطة مهمة في مسيرة تطوير اللعبة محليًا وإقليميًا، وتأتي استكمالًا لسلسلة من النجاحات التي حققتها العقبة باستضافتها للبطولات القارية والعالمية.
وقال المهندس سهل دودين: “نفتخر في أيلة بأن نكون شريكًا رئيسيًا في استضافة بطولة بهذا الحجم للمرة التاسعة في تاريخنا. إن هذه الاستضافة تعكس قدراتنا التنظيمية وتعزز من مكانة العقبة كوجهة رياضية وسياحية على الخارطة الإقليمية والدولية.”
من جانبه، عبّر الدكتور طارق الخياط عن اعتزازه بالشراكة قائلاً: “البطولة تتيح للاعبينا الشباب فرصة ثمينة للاحتكاك بنخبة اللاعبين الآسيويين المستعدين للتأهل والمشاركة في اولمبياد الشباب في داكار 2026، بما يسهم في رفع مستواهم الفني ويعكس صورة الأردن المشرقة في المحافل الدولية.”
وتُعد هذه البطولة امتدادًا لسلسلة من الاستضافات الناجحة التي نظمتها أيلة في الأعوام 2016، 2019، 2022، و2024، ما جعلها الوجهة المفضلة للاتحاد الآسيوي للترايثلون بفضل بنيتها التحتية المميزة وإمكاناتها التنظيمية العالية. وستنطلق المنافسات من بحيرة أيلة الاصطناعية وسط أجواء آمنة وطبيعية، قبل الانتقال إلى سباقي الدراجات والجري على مسارات مصممة وفق أعلى المواصفات العالمية.
وبهذه الاستضافة، يعزز الأردن موقعه كوجهة رياضية رائدة في المنطقة، ويؤكد جاهزية مدينة العقبة ومنتجع أيلة لاستضافة أبرز الفعاليات الرياضية الإقليمية والعالمية، بما يسهم في دعم السياحة الرياضية.

Ayla to Host the 2025 Under-23 Asia Triathlon Championship
Aqaba – Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Olympic Committee, and in the presence of Mr. Antonio Aremany, President of the International Triathlon Union, the city of Aqaba will host the Under-23 Asia Triathlon Championship on Friday and Saturday, October 31 and November 1, at Ayla Oasis – Aqaba. This hosting comes as part of the Annual Joint Calendar of Events organized by Ayla in collaboration with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), adding significant value to the city’s sporting and tourism activities.
The championship, which will feature the participation of more than 120 athletes from across Asia, will include elite races for professional Asian athletes on Friday, October 31, while the open race for all age categories will take place on Saturday, November 1. This provides an opportunity for amateurs and enthusiasts of the sport from different ages and nationalities to participate.
The hosting was announced following the signing of a cooperation agreement between Ayla Oasis Development Company and the Jordan Triathlon Association, in the presence of Eng. Sahl Dudin, CEO of Ayla, and Dr. Tareq Al Khayyat, President of the Jordan Triathlon Association. Both parties emphasized that this milestone marks an important step in developing the sport locally and regionally, and builds on a series of successes achieved by Aqaba in hosting continental and international championships.
Eng. Sahl Dudin stated: “At Ayla, we take pride in being a key partner in hosting a championship of this scale for the ninth time in our history. This event reflects our organizational capabilities and strengthens Aqaba’s position as a sporting and tourism destination on the regional and international map.”
For his part, Dr. Tareq Al Khayyat expressed his pride in the partnership, saying: “The championship offers our young athletes a valuable opportunity to compete with Asia’s U23 high level athletes, helping to elevate their technical level and positively represent Jordan in international forums.”
This championship is a continuation of a series of successful events previously hosted by Ayla in 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2024, making it the preferred destination for the Asian Triathlon Confederation thanks to its exceptional infrastructure and advanced organizational capabilities. The competitions will begin at Ayla’s artificial lagoon in a safe and natural environment, before moving to cycling and running races on world-class tracks.
Through this hosting, Jordan further strengthens its position as a leading sports destination in the region and reaffirms Aqaba and Ayla’s readiness to host major regional and international sporting events, contributing to the promotion of sports tourism.
